The number of businesses using Siemens HiPath 8000 real-time VoIP(voice over IP) UC (unified communications) system have jumped morethan 400% in the last year.

The company suggests that increased user collaboration andproductivity are the reasons, and states that its seeing uptake in allindustry sectors and across companies of all sizes.

Siemens says it now expects uptake to increase even further, withthe release of new features, including over 40 new UC Foundationfeatures, such as enhanced one-number services, larger business-groupsfor managed service providers (MSPs), new business continuity anddisaster recovery options and UC inter-working with IBM and Microsoftsystems.
