Siemens Home and OfficeCommunication Devices (SHC) turned out its 100-millionth Gigaset. Thedevice, a Gigaset SL370, rolled off the assembly line at the companysBocholt facility. The popular cordless phone models, which are now usedin one of every two German households, have been produced in Bocholtsince 1994, making Siemens the worlds leading supplier of cordlessphones.
As an SHC production and development center, Bocholt is the linchpinfor Gigaset sales worldwide. Our production today of the 100-millionthGigaset is conclusive proof of the success of our innovations, our highquality requirements and our team, said Jochen Eickholt, head ofSiemens SHC subsidiary.
