Vonics partners with Intrado to offer E911 Service

Subscribers offered Enhanced 911 dialing services to connect with local emergency operators. All 911 calls routed through the reliable nationwide networks of Vonics and Intrado.

San Francisco CA – January 19, 2006: Vonics Digital Inc., the premier broadband telephone services provider has signed a contract with Intrado Inc. (NASDAQ: TRDO), a global provider of integrated data and telecommunications solutions and leader in VoIP 9-1-1 solutions, to provide Enhanced 911 (E911) emergency dialing services to its subscribers. Vonics subscribers will soon be able to register their telephone numbers for the E911 service to be connected to a local 9-1-1 phone operator during an emergency.

With Intrado® V9-1-1® for VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) providers, emergency calls are routed from the Vonics Digital Network to the geographically correct Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) for timely dispatch of emergency assistance.

Last year, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) issued an order that mandated all interconnected VoIP service providers (VSPs) to offer E911 emergency dialing as a standard component of their service.
