VoIP provider 8x8 signs agreement with company leaving market

26 September 2007

Voice over Internet Protocol provider 8x8 Inc.
said Wednesday it signed an agreement calling for exclusive
recommendation of 8x8 as a replacement for the subscribers of a service
provider that will soon exit the VoIP market.

Santa Clara-based 8x8 (NASDAQ:EGHT) said its platform "will be the
only brand presented and promoted to the roughly 12,000 subscribers who
will be left without VoIP phone service after the company winds down
its VoIP operations over the next three months."

In return, 8x8 will offer those subscribers a specially-priced plan.

The name of the company exiting the market and other details of the deal were not disclosed.
