A voice signal has a specific distribution pattern which means that the associated mathematic audio regions near the lowest levels carry more information than the regions with higher amplitudes. That makes VoIP very popular in communication systems to increase the range. With that in mind, I am considering VoIP for my home service because it seems scientifically logical to use such an efficient mode of communication.
