I had Vonage, then Qwest regular phone service before that.  I havent been happy with the Vonage call quality recently.  I had heard good things from a friend about Phone Power.  I ordered the service and transferred my number to them.  Unlike the transfer from Qwest to Vonage, this transfer was very smooth.  They kept me informed the entire way, and the process took about three days.  I couldnt use my Vonage box, but they sent me a new Phone Power box that is working fine.  Setup was smooth.  I did have some questions about setting it up prior to the transfer date.  I called their tech support, they answered quickly and were very helpful.

Needless to say, the call quality is excellent, at least as good as my old Qwest phone service.  I'm very pleased with the customer web portal (they call it "MyAccount").  I opted for the annual plan. I would recommend this service to anyone interested in a good quality phone service that you can save money with.  In fact I already recommended this to another friend.

So I took the $200 prepay, thinking I’ll get a good deal. Half my calls don’t go through and the other half has terrible quality. So basically I spent $200 and 2 hours with customer service with no resolution. Don’t bother.

The only thing I regret is taking so long to decide on who to switch to, being gunshy when I switched to Phone Power was a mistake. However, finally after I got tired of looking, one day I was just about to order when I ran into "Phone Power." The reviews and price were enough to make me order the same day. NO regrets on this choice. If you are looking to switch or this is your first time - - - DO IT - - -

I will stay with them for two years and then decide what service to use at that time - technology will improve, so who knows what will be available then.

I originally signed up for Vonage but then I found out that they could not port my number over from Verizon so I dropped them. I'm glad I did because I found PhonePower! These people are really great. First, the price is very low, I signed up for the yearly deal and got a year free plus a free cloned line. This keeps my cost to about $10.00 a month for 2 years. Second, tech support is awesome! When you call, you actually get someone in the USA, not in India or somewhere else overseas. They are always VERY helpful and do all they can to get your issue resolved. I could not be happier with my service with PhonePower, especially since I'm saving over $60.00 month since I told Verizon to take a hike. I got tired of them nickle and dime'ing me all the time. Phone Power is awesome! Give them a try and you'll see I'm right.
