Conference Business Phones
A business phone for conference calls is the most expensive type of phone because of the enhanced clarity features built into the conference phone.
As a result, conference phones offer very high sound quality, microphone range, active noise control, and other features.

This phone conference station offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the conference room and video that automatically tracks conversation flow.
Desktop Business Phone
Desktop business phones are the most common type of phones. A desktop phone offers the most built-in phone features, as they all include headsets, voicemail, call holding, call waiting, directory functions, multi-line capabilities, and other standard call features.
Desktop business phones cost between $90 and $400. $400 is about the approximate price of an executive phone that can take 4 calls at once.
A service provider offers this type of phone mostly for work calls, but it can be used for impromptu conferences, three-way calling, and other phone business. But the speaker isn't made for large conferences, so the call quality is not as high as a conference business phone.
Desktop phones are commonly offered as promotional items by VoIP service providers. A desktop business phone is the easiest type of the hardware phone to install, configure, and maintain.
Wireless Business Phone
A wireless phone is a cordless desktop phone with a remote handset or headset. This type of phone costs at least $9 and up. When you are in range of the base, you can make calls.

Softphones are available for download online or from VoIP providers when you purchase a service plan. Softphones do require a headset to function when you already have a computer with a microphone and speakers.
Mobile Business Phone
A mobile phone is a cell phone or tablet used to conduct business telecommunication out of the office. Mobile phones allow you to organize phone calls, texts, and email when you are on the road or traveling.
