Most parents sent their kids back to school yesterday, as the new semester began. It is a bitter sweet moment, in which parents could finally get their lives back on track without constant interruption from theirs kids! At the same time, they might be wondering about how their first day in school is going, would their kids be on their best behavior, or do they have friends to have lunch with?

The idea of combining voip service with wifi has been around for the last 3-4 years. What does it mean ? It means you can be at the beach, sipping a pina colada and make long distance or international phone calls with relatively inexpensive rates using WiFi (wireless fidelity) devices such as a laptop or cellphone, whenever you are in wifi hotspots. Ideally, that is.

A while ago, Toucan Global gave us a few Snap Communicators for a test drive. First of all, what is a Snap Communicator? It's a simple phone-like device which plugs into a usb port and voila, you are connected to other defined snap users. Up to 8 snap users can be assigned for every unit.

Over the past few months we at My VoIP Provider have received a number of emails commenting on the neccessity of comparing the call rates of various VoIP providers from around the world. We have received 10 times more thanking us for our service, nevertheless we feel it is necessary to comment on what we think is fairly arrogant attitude comming from visitors to our site from some first world countries.

In a nutshell all of these comments centered around the fact that in todays' market who cares if a call to country x costs 1, 2 or 3 cents per minute.

Most succesfull in this case means the sites with the most traffic and not the most financially viable.

From our VoIP directory of 1500 VoIP providers from around the world we identified the 80 most visited sites and ranked them according the the data from Alexa.com. We only considered pure VoIP services and not cable companies or triple play offerings.
