Siemens celebrates production of 100-millionth Gigaset
Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices (SHC) turned out its 100-millionth Gigaset. The device, a Gigaset SL370, rolled off the assembly line at the company’s Bocholt facility. The popular cordless phone models, which are now used in one of every two German households, have been produced in Bocholt since 1994, making Siemens the world’s leading supplier of cordless phones.
“As an SHC production and development center, Bocholt is the linchpin for Gigaset sales worldwide. Our production today of the 100-millionth Gigaset is conclusive proof of the success of our innovations, our high quality requirements and our team,†said Jochen Eickholt, head of Siemens’ SHC subsidiary.
